trust me it will fire, just watch the readings, converting to from LPG etc, is why they gave out approx turns
 
Last one I was at was a faulty solonoid. Got resistance figures from guys on here. think it was around 150 on one and 320 or something for the other. sorry canny mind now, but i suppose if you test it and one is open circuit then you know it is goosed!
 
Just been to the same fault on the same gas valve with the connections at back I was gettin 156 ohms on bottom and open circuit on the top, off to fit a new valve tomstoms
 
i had 150 on the top and open line on the bottom changed it today a the bottom coil had burst the brown plastic was a doddle to set it as well so happy days
 
yeah thats the one he was still going on about the flue sensor when i went round to get paid lol
