Hi

I'm looking at a complete change of career and would like to be a gas engineer, There is a company called MET-UK who offer a gauranteed job with a company called Pargas, Duties would include meter upgrades and emergency call outs,

Has anybody had any dealings with either of the above companies?

I'm am also trying to get on the EON and british gas apprenticeships, Has anybody been succesful with either of them?

thanks in advance

jay

Do your research very very thourghly , gauranteed job??? 1973 your birth year? everyone is doing this now...how can they possibly gaurantee you a job for all they know you could be a totally thick tosspot! why gas engineer? it will take years to get good and earn a decent wage. Make sure you meet someone who has done it from scratch at your age who has the same commitments . What if it goes **** up after you have spent thousands you will not be able to go self employed in gas !! and no one will take you on if you are 35. Think very carefully and good luck. What about locksmith???? learn it quicker and get set up for less than 5 grand. Just looking out for you mate as I have done one of these courses and know for a fact lots of other people have failed as they have kids and mortgage , retraining is hard so make sure you are too!. Dont belive the hype ! Best wishes John
