Heating fine Hotwater keeps cutting out

I have a combi boiler the heating is fine but when it tries to heat the hotwater it just cuts out.If i leave a tap on a trickle then it comes out hot but if the tap is turned on full then it just keeps cutting out,is it due to a faulty diverter valve.

It's dependent on make and model of boiler.
