Hi
My first post, used the forum many times and it found great for info and help. My problem is I am unable to have both HW and CH on at the same time. HW appears to have priority. My system is Valliant ecotec plus 428, fitted with VR 65, VRT 360f, unistor unvented storage tank. 3 way valve is Honeywell V4073A mid position valve. I have contacted my installer, but wasn,t interested. I used to have the S 53 code, when I asked him, he told me it was my pipe work. After reading your forum I fixed the problem. I have checked the wiring in the VR 65 appears to be correct. I have checked the setting in the boiler, d 70 is set "1" which should be for mid position. Works great in the summer, but not great in the winter. Any help would be great.

Cheers :dizzy2:

I have the same problem - its an issue with the programmer software - I've seen the same issue on other forums with no solutions available. If I use a normal cylinder tankstat (which you can't use with a unistor) it works OK, but with the unistor thermostat it always goes to HW priority whether d70 is 0 or 1. You can minimise the problem by using d78 to increase the water heating temp. to 80-85C to heat water as quickly as possible whilst heating is shut down though. My tank heats up in 25 mins from fairly cold to 60C so I don't really notice it.
