Hi Friends

Well, what a day!!!

Got called to fix toilet. Told customer ok, it's tank fed (checked this time!). Its fills so slow.

So, look at shut off, nowhere.

Basically all the valves in the cupboard were seized. Said they needed replacing. All ok. Shut off water in flat garden and ran taps, took 20 mins.

Changed valves, put new stopcock on to isolate cold water tank as it never had one.

Turned water on, trickle, after 40 mins fed up. Could not get into cupboard to see ball valve. Felt around and all clogged up, needed to change it. Went to shop. Got back, cut new home , speed fit pipe and fitted new FOV.

All in all the system is crazy.

The cwsc is off the floor about 1m. The hot is under it. The cwsc is large and goes up into cupboard so it's near impossible to change FOV.

The water pressure is so low even the toilet takes 5 mins to fill!!

I told custard she should let me connect to mains water but no!! She complains.

I say ok.

A big job for me but ok.

Her elec shower ****es out water when it's turned off. Isolated the water and told her its kaput.

Any ideas what's wrong with it? I told her she needs it replacing!! I can do. She goes mental at me!!!!

So, shot water pressure, shot electric shower, shot cwsc. Nightmare.

I was going to recommend a pump but got scared!!

Cheers

Is the water mains pressure below 1 bar at 9 litres per minute? If so the water supplier needs to address the issue and all will probably be solved.

Does the CWSC take an age to fill up? Blocked orifice on float valve. Is it just the pressure at all outlets? Blocked pipework or insufficient head of water. Electric shower off the mains water? separate problem.

Is the electric shower if the mains? Worth checking. Also don't toilet custern ball valves come with an array if flow restricters?
