Hi,
Can anyone give some advice on our Boiler which is a Vokera Linea 24 which has been installed about 10 years. It has been very efficient until now...
The central heating works perfectly. However, when the hot water tap is turned on the boiler ignites as normal but then goes from low flame to high flame and then after a few seconds knocks off completely. Five seconds after that the boiler ignites again but does not go into high flame anymore. This means the bath is filled with luke warm water.
Up until turning the hot tap on the central heating has worked ok. However, after the hot tap has been turned on - even for a moment- the central heating comes up with a similar flame fault.
Once it has all been off for a while the central heating works ok again until the next time hot water is called for.
Annoyingly this is an intermittent fault. Can anyone recognise this problem?
My husband who is normally pretty good with this sort of thing says that he thinks the flow switch is sticking but does not think that that is the whole problem. He has asked me to submit this question, he is busy with his head in the boiler, so you can reply using technical jargon rather than for my benefit!
