A quicky for those good with numbers which I ain't and I don't do this often enough to be able to rattle off the calculation !

Basicly need to know if i'v enough capacity to tee in a hob to an existing run.........from meter I've got 8.5m of 22mm before it drops to 15mm for a 7.5m run to boiler, boiler requirement is 1.64m3/hr

If I tee into the 15mm and run a 3m leg will I have enough gas for a hob.......hob not been purchased yet so not sure on consumption but she's talking about maybe a 5 burner jobby 🙂

I have taken elbows into account in all my run lengths. Any input greatly appreciated 🙂

Are you GSR ?
You wont get advice as on the face of it you shouldnt be touching it.
If you are GSR pm a mod with your details.

Youd be best pm'ing croppie or gasman and ask for access to the private forum if you havent already done so

Says he's registered by his name Phil, are you on the app on your phone again 🙂

Some of the big ones can be up to 18Kws so that would be 1.672.
Doing it the other way around if you allowed 1M3/h that would be up to 10Kws wouldn't it ?

Does depend on what she buys thats the problem.

you should try and get your head around the figures.
as a quick work guide get the mr combi gas sizing app or similar.

its already undersized.

I do very little in the way of installation so never really have to do these calcs ! Currently have a very solid 20mb working pressure at the boiler with the fan at full chat so struggling to see that it's undersized as it is....plus manual says boiler will be happy with 18.1mb.

10kw sounds reasonable for a 5 burner hob to me 🙂
