Hi all

Not a new member but I don't think I properly introduced myself. I'm Roy and the company is White Horse Plumbing and Engineering Services based about 15 miles North of York

Originally trained as a Pipeline Engineer and worked on boilers and heating systems, then started in general domestic plumbing a few years ago, and since then have had less involvement in pipeline work.

If you need any advice particularly on pipeline work, welding tricks and tips or sprinkler systems, do feel free to ask as I get the impression I'm the only one on here who bolts flanges together and works with steel pipes!

I've also got a lot of experience in working with and restoring antique plumbing and sanitary fittings due to my work on Victorian country houses in the area.

The only place in England that it is legal to murder a Scotsman within the city walls, as long as they a carrying a bow and arrow. Not many Scotish cider drinkers in York 🙂
I have done my share of pipe strangling in my younger days and spent a season off shore on the fourties field,fitting sprinkler systems 🙂

Done a months offshore assembly myself in the 90s (onshore). All ANSI standards, Ring Type Joints and fitting up flanged joints with weekly calibrated torque wrenches I remember.
