Got talking to a guy who works for homeserve this morning in plumb Center.

he showed me his list of work for today.

3 flats to powerflush, 6 trv,s to fit in each and 7 rads in total to replace!
he said he only has time to connect the powerflush to the system and run for 10min, just so tenant can seen they have done it.
I said the flush should take half a day at least. He said if he took the long he would be out of a job. Felt sorry for the lad, my mate earns more working in a supermarket picking up boxes.

Absolute rip off!

tbh it would be better not to flush least the customer cant be charged for a flush, as its not going to do anything 😀

Don't see how someone could be expected to do all that in a day it's crazy.

I was speaking to a Homeserve lad outside Grahams a few weeks ago was just picking his brains about they are like to work for. He said not too bad, the management were getting better. Said he does roughly 6 jobs a day but he didn't sound like he loves the job, said it pays his mortgage and he doesn't let it get him stressed.

Say! That's not good custard service .. surely that must be been throughout the week. Never heard of doing 3hee powerflush in a day event before. 😱!

Sounds like being on the cards is not very good with them although I've been out to one of their plumbers houses to fix their boiler and he seemed happy enough.

With the expectation of getting flamed I'll come out and say that having subbed for them I've been impressed at the lengths they will go to keep customers happy. Whether it's economically viable or not they seem to have a policy of keeping the customer happy and fixing their systems.
