Hi all, I'm a young new plumber after some advice. I got called to this house that has a horizontal indirect cylinder that keeps getting air locked. Iv tried to advice the owner to get an upgrad as this problem will keep coming back I feel. Has any1 got any thought on this if there is anythink I can do to stop the airlocks coming back or am I right in thinking a new updated system is best?

Hello:welcome:
why is it getting the air lock?
is it made as a horizontal cylinder?
where's the vent pipe?

Ya it is mate and I don't know y its getting an airlock. The vent comes off the hot water mate

I'm talking about airlocks on the central heating on the coil cuz its laying on its side I think can't move it mate

then you need to either alter the vent so it gravitates or fit aa v's usually the primaries were on top when the cylinder was horizontal in the same axis as the vent cold feed was often underneath no pictures?
