What hose pipe do you guys use / recommend
Sounds like a stupid question but most hoses are prone to kinking etc wanted to know what hose is the best to use

Regards

homebase yellow, and coil it carefully and it last a few years no probs. if you chuck any hose in the van willy nilly it will last months

Regin do a decent drain down hose nice & rubbery easy to coil when it's cold & doesn't king - but it's not that cheap

Yeah I used a cheap one the other day draining central heating because of the heat I could not roll it back up with out it folding absolutely useless -_-

Ex bg? 😉

op, those regin ones or travis perkins red ones

can abuse them and they don't collapse under 90 degree water.......
they do kink if you really yank em but tis a good hose

I might be....
got a few nice bits over the years other then the hose, my magnaclense is top draw unused when I left seemed a shame to leave it behind

Just what i needed! I've been using the same old green garden hose for about 20 years. Its got so short now I can barely get it out the door without sticking overflow pipe on the end. I bought a hozelock one on offer at screwfix, dreadfull, I took half hour unkinking it from new and it didn't even make it into the van.

BG hoses?? thoses are the one that indicate the need to powerflush when the water runs out clear?? 🙂

the regin hose is good, but costs alot and is not so good when you need to drain down further than 10m. I use hozelock ultraflex garden hose. You can reel it up when cold and it doh kink. buy 50m, cut it into 3-5 lengths of your choice.

same as everything theb ones that work aint cheap ive got a yellow food grade one i got when i had the run of someone else's order book i dread to think how much it was from t g lynnes but it doesnt kink and rolls up easily

Does it straighten out properly, and can it take high pressure?

Have been close to buying the regin one a few times but it can't be used for flushing.

Same type hose as used on powerflushing machines so you know what they are like. Straightens out no problem, fits tight on a pet cock and doesn't falll off, gets softer with really hot water but never kinks. Rated at 12 bar and available in any size that turns you on.

I know a couple of guys (ex BG btw) who have the std issue rubber regin they nicked on the way out. It doesn't light my candle and wouldn't pay the money for it. A fiver a meter for a hose. Are you having a laff.

Is the regin one about 90 rips from parts centre, 90 quid for a hose !! No chance.

i got one from tool station, had no problems

I got a blue one from wickes about 10 yrs ago and it never kinks, I always roll it up and keep it in a rubble sack so never gets tangled either
