Hot water keeps on cutting out

I have a recent problem with my boiler - it isnt producing enough hot water to have a bath or shower. I thought it might be the pressure but I have raised that to 2 bar from 1.4. After a minute or so the water runs cold, very cold! I've just tried again and the shower fired up the boiler ok and has provided plenty of hot water. Mind you the heating has been on for over an hour, I assume this may contribute? There is a strange noise coming from the boiler flue too. Does it just need servicing? It is an Ideal Fanned Flue Combi Gas Boiler.
The heating works absolutely fine.

could be many things but the noise could be a fan about to fail that doesnt always keep going

i reccomendyou get a Gas Safe Engineer out asap, before it causes more damage to other parts.
