My mate years ago did just this - he put Lisa a big german shep pig in his landrover everynight - all went well until she got bored and ate all the soft stuff in the cab, dashboard , seats u name it ... he took here down to the riverbank and shot her
Do you want to rent my two bloody HUGE german shepherds - only need to put a bowl of water in the van before you lock them in for the night. Bet you a months pension you won't be troubled a second time!

Sounds like a top bloke

Your mate shot a healthy dog because it destroyed the interior of a car that he used to lock her in every night? I'm lost for words!

True but then in the late 80's there was in parts of Wiltshire a totally different attitude

Thats a bit off..........shootin the dog cos it ate two hessien sacks and a cardboard dash...

I know bes says there for nat gas or lpg but they hold petrol or diesel back fine style- been fittin them to our vehicles for years never a problem - just spray the brass finish out with black paint so no one can pick them up in the engine bay centralheatking

Are you saying you pop the bonnet & have to turn off the diesel every night!? Then pop the bonnet in the morning to restart! Sounds a bit tedious...

what van do you have?

one simple thing to do is buy some alarm stickers for a few quid. better to fit a decent alarm of course but better than nothing. then you can get deadlocks and others like the ones posted. You will not stop them especially at night parked up but you can make your van harder to get into than the next one down the road and hopefully they will do that one over instead.

my old company had deadlocks ect... on its vans and on one job there was a large number of vans done over the same day. they missed out all the vans with extra security and went to the vans without.

they normally try and park up alongside you van so they can open there side door and attack yours without being noticed. so one tip is to keep your side door away from where they can park. I always park my van a few inches away from my fence so they cant get down.

if you have a mark one expert then the best solution is to weld the door shut 🙂

edit : forgot to ask if you reported it to the police??

vw transporter..not so keen on the stickers tho..think that just might draw attention

what we need is an invention so you can put your trigger torch under your seat and when somebody sits on the seat the torch lights and burns a new bum hole.

if anybody nick's my van i hope they crash and burn themselves alive in it. If i can i will get down to them to toast some marshmallows over there burning corpse.

Amen to that!

They have been doing the rounds. Several thefts reported in Richmond so stay on the look out and make a note of van regs if you get the chance.

As has been said, if you don't make it easy they'll move onto another target.

We got done in Hertfordshire just after Christmas, they hit several vans in different local towns three nights in a row.
I still go to get tools out of the van I no longer have.
It's proper wrong, Tossers!

That Sucks stoker ain't had nothing happen yet touch wood been looking at moving but van security is a priority but may have to stay where we are as funds don't look like allowing it

Limpet locks like above or dead locks work for me

I have just ordered some locks for my vans they are Expensive at £155+vat
There is a Video on there website the locks are called ultimate courier slam lock the website is www.locks4vans.co.uk
I think a out side lock being visible is best.but also one that locks it's self when you shut the door.not a fan of no tools left in this van stickers any one with half a brain cell will no what is in your van.taking tools out of van every night is not cost effective as this could be a good 4 hours a week of your time.
Some one on here may be able to put Video on I don't no how to do it.

Lock was delivered today very good quality would recommend.and not to bulky.ImageUploadedByTapatalk1366815116.076228.jpg
The key slot is not quite big enough for your towels.

Back in January when it was snowing, my van was loaded up with all my work gear including power tools. I left the side door open all night (don't ask me why, I must have been bloody knackered and with my mind elsewhere). Wasn't in work the next day so had lay in, went out to the van about 12 and as i'm walking towards my van, approaching from the rear I notice the door open so i sprinted up to it and the door was wide open and not a single thing gone! Lucky or what! It helps that it was on a road of terraced houses but nothing stopping the people who live there noticing it late at night and emptying it.

Now I give a quick visual to make sure the doors are all fully shut before walking off lol.

I know a fella that puts his cats poo on the inside of all his vans door handles every night - never had a problem with theft - mind you
he does the same application to his back garden fence with his own stuff - guess what - his shed has never been robbed..centralheatking
Must have been the landy version of the HSE aswell to get that quality
