putting a new toilet into a 1950's old house.

Took the old loo out, the diameter of the poo pipe is 11cm

The new toilet back is 9cm diameter.

How would I fit one to other?

Been to plumbers and there stumped, they gave me a standard fixing that was 8cm and 9cms.

Cos it's the uk PLUMBERS forum, not the uk DIY bodgers forum?

At the end of the day, we're all struggling to make a living, so why would we make our experience and knowledge free to all?

If I got a plumber whats the point of this forum?

To help you identify which jobs can be easily done DIY with a little advice, and which jobs are likely to be a pain, and probably cheaper in the long run to get a professional in.

can you take a picture and post it on here sounds like you just need a multiquick adapter.

Or as everyone else has said geta plumber and save yourself the stress, I can see the answer/s in the piccy but I am damned if I am expected to help bodge a jobbers......

personal I find it ironic that this forum is for plumbers only / professionals and everyone is telling me to get a plumber yet the professional plumbers are the ones asking for help haha

Anyway its all sorted now.

Why I don't want a plumber is the last 3 times I've had them they caused more problems and to say I'm taking some ones job away from then haha I'm sure you have taken jobs away from other people down the line i.e. filling your oil in your van, mowing the lawn

First of all I as the driver and steering wheel attendant of said vehicle, it WILL be my job to check the fluids and general condition/roadworthyness of said vehicle not some Joe down the road!!

This should have been taught to you as you well I presume you drive??

Sencondly being as I lanscaped my own back garden I decided it is not going to be my job to put the stripes in the lawn, that will belong to "er indoors"

Should the need ever arise when I need the help of a Professional person be it a Solicitor or Banker (no forget that one) but you get the jist.....I would be only too Happy to PAY for their services.

in summing up all I can say is you must've chosen a bad example last time but PLEASE DON'T TAR US ALL WITH THE SAME BRUSH!!!

I bid you farewell and good day Sir.

Difference is mowing the lawn wont flood your house, was the pipe comeing through the wall Lead ? sometimes you need to rise ot the hight of the pan other times you may have to alter the main soil stack, if its not done right it will keep blocking.

thread closed pointless arguing you lot are giving me a headache, the point of this forum is to help pros and diyers alike, you came on here looking for advice after all,as said if its beond your ability get a plumber in
