How long does it take to get rid of an airlock

I have a largish domestic underfloor heating system.

I have some air in the system. I believe that the source of the air has stopped.
I have been able to release the air but is seems to be taking repeated efforts.

My question is "Will an air lock be removed in one go or could it take several days of releasing the air??"

can take many days to release depending on system etc.

Thanks, the amount of air hissing out seems to be reducing significantly now.
