TBH I thought it was one of those poncy fancy cable strippers then saw it said "For use with hollow wall anchors" so ain`t got a clue.

heres a quicker upload,my version was way cooler though

Handy, i use those fittings and occasionally have the odd plug that spins and ruins the hole
Isually just wedge a screwdriver in the notch if i need to...

I think ill get one for ease, love the right tools for the right job.
Wheres best ??

Love it. It has got me out of a pickle a few times. Nice and simple to use also. Although I must admit, when I first nought it I didn't have a clue how it worked. It took a couple of failed attempts

I first got one of those tools approx 25 years ago! I finally destroyed it after bending it inside after being a bit too rough on it. My fault though.
Lidl do a whole kit of brolly anchors (seem okay quality) of various sizes and comes with a nice quality setting tool all in a case, which I now have.
Tip if you are ever without the setting tool is to add a dot of oil below the screw head for to tighten the anchor in place. There is metal to metal friction between the head and anchor while it is pulling together the anchor body, and the oil makes it very easy.

Thanks Ray! I soon learned to use oil on them when I was using a hand screwdriver and finding it hard to do. Same if against a rad bracket. You often get little metal washers with them which reduce the friction, but oiling them still is better.
Good thing about a setting tool is they are so quick, rather than a million turns of a screwdriver.
