Hi all,

Iv bought myself one of those Bosch inspection cameras to help me find leaks etc. Yes I know I've managed without one for 20 odd years but times move on.

The head is abut 19mm so I was thinking of drilling a 20-25mm hole in the floor or wall. Problem is I'm a terrible joiner and how bests to make good the hole is what I ask?

Do they sell 20-25mm blanking plugs? If so where do I buy them

Thanks

I use Upol for jobs like this its a 2 part filler (mainly used on cars) but if you mix it really pink its rock hard in 5 mins and you can sand it nice and flat plus I have never had it crack once cured

Thanks,

Some good ideas there, but some nice neat plugs that I could just drop in is what Im looking for.

We bought the rigid camera when it was on offer at Crosslings. But annoying plugging holes ,we started either drilling in concealed locations, removing sockets but all got a bit if a drag. Got sick of people complaining about paying a plasterer to fill a few holes ,bought some pattern size 11, behind obstacle observation tool attachments . BOOT for short. They make that much mess custards have to pay to have it fixed. Either they want lest finding or they don't.

If you only want wood plugs for small holes, then look up "Wood plug coring drill sets".
Joiners use them for making wood plugs. I see a few sets up to at least 22mm for only £12.

A multi tool will cut a tight square with it's thin blade, so that idea is good & some gripfill to glue it & it will be strong.

Ann Summers does plugs in different diameters also.

Cheers ,

Think I might invest in one of those big red hole cutters. Do they work in plasterboard ?

Only used it on floors.
The cutter cuts the hole and rebates a recessed lip for the plastic cap to fit flush. so It wouldn't work in plasterboard.
You could look at on of these for plaster board.ae235.jpggot mine from screwfix.
