Does anybody know how to remove this Plastic part from the copper pipe without destroying it?

Its the shower head base plate from an aqualisa shower.

The plastic part rotates freely and pushes further onto the pipe but if you try to pull it wont budge.
I think its got those metal grippers inside like what you get with push fit fittings. Just cant see how to release it

You got it, it has a grab ring.

If if can get something behind it to push the teeth of the grab ring back towards you, you can pull it off.

Looks a bit close to the wall now though, is there any play in pipe - can you pull it forwards?

What is it you’re doing? Buy it as a spare? If you really need it you can remove the pipe from the wall by removing the board - then cut the pipe behind the fitting and slide the fitting back off the end of the bit you’ve cut off.

Would the end need to replace/ repair the pipe , but it could be done. ( I’d be getting a spare part and cutting it off if it were me)

Im renovating the shower room.

Not sure if im going to reuse the existing shower parts or not yet.

There is a little room to get behind it Will get a spare just in case i have to carefully cut the existing one off.
