I offered to have a look for her as I'm up and down the m3 all week. To be honest mate I've offered advice by pm and said she needs to draw a line under what's been done and get somebody qualified to look. Lets face it she won't get any money back, gas safe will do bugger all as usual and she could be living with potential dangers. Can't do any more than that.

It sounds like she has been had over, lets hope gas safe come and inspect it.
Maybe others will read it and see cheapest isnt best and you should get someone who is GSR and not got a mate that will sign it off.

but there in lies the problem. Gas safe will take no action. She won't have any written receipt for works. She was quite happy to get it done when the price was right.

Gas safe will only be interested if the installer is registered, which is doubtful, and if you kick up a big fuss and RIDDOR the job. Then they'll contact you, but still, nothing will be done.

Woman has a full Central heating install
Plumber does the work and gets a gas safe mate to sign it off
Its rough and doesnt work properly
She is more concerned about there being no room thermostat
