The boiler when trying to light clicks sometimes fires then drops off clicks again and the can sometimes go on for 10 min before lighting.Any one come across this problem with these boilers. Will go investigate Saturday....I am thinking gas vale solenoid or circuit board. Many thanks.

Hi fabio ... Sounds like flame detection B-pressure or APS dropping out on ignition? I had one do similar the other day but never got round to sortin it as it stayed on 3rd attempt then wouldn't repeat!!

you could take out the burner and remove the 4 screws securing pilot assembley, remove and clean injector, cheack spark gap and electrode. Could need a new pilot bum, i would give it a good service if that doesn't work go with pilot bum and electrode. i once had one of these not letting gas through to the pilot and had to replace the gas valve, no real way of testing as you cant get to the pilot and doesn't have a pilot tube, that wasn't intermitant though would not fire atall.

Ive had one that constantly fired up and shut down and fired up after a while, ended up being the ignition coil on the gas valve went open circuit when it became hot.
