Not an option, what makes you say that? I ruled out the overheat stat, actual fan, good earth to board, ignition and gas valve, its on the fan harness for sure.

Never had to change one myself but have heard that they can take out the PCB ...... And the Fan in one swoop.......!

is the fan harness burnt or melted or gone faulty by getting far to hot?

get an axe or a gas registered chap in to have a look or you will be out of luck.
These are an easy boiler to fix but expensive on parts
don't try fixing it yourself no matter how many things you check with your multimeter

I am registered, only been doing breakdowns for about a year, got bored of installs.

Good bit of diagnostics zeebeedee IMO 🙂 ... What got you checking out the harness rather than just replacing the PCB?

Board was dead on arrival, had one in the van threw it on and it started throwing a LE at me :32: Started with the overheat stat, shorted it out and still got it, unplugged the fan from the board retried it got the fan error code, quickly tried a new fan still the same, checked the lead for continuity between the colors all fine, checked all the connections against earth, and the pink threw up a short. Sadly didnt have a harness, so back tomorrow to change it, hope to christ i am right!

well if its melted you will find the rear of the hex is as well caused by the ionization probes(posh word for bent bits of steel at funny angles)have fallen off the insulation panel has fallen on to the heat exchanger and the burners melted the rear of the hex, wiring and the pcb will have probably blown up because its made of chocolate

Good idea to take the burner out then and see if I can see anything untoward going on behind there!
