Ideal isar dead , tripping consumer unit

Hi guys
My ideal isar went dead on Friday I came home and the consumer unit had tripped the downstairs sockets, I tried to reset it but instant trip again..when I turned off the spur to the boiler I was able to reset the unit. If I try turn on the boiler spur it just trips the unit instantly. Woulda broken pump in the boiler be a culprit? It's been whining for a while. Don't think faulty pcb would be tripping it would it??

You need a service call I'm afraid as any work carried out internally on the boiler must be done by a Gas safe registered engineer its no good guessing what it might be. Kop

If you have motorised valves, look to see if they are weeping …..

there can be many possible reasons for the faulty tripping consumer unit you have checked were is the load is coming from as wires can be the culprit faulty wires or both -tive and +tive wire coming in contact can consume more voltage to lead tripping.
