I have an Ideal Logic boiler, and I noticed that the display screen does not stay on all the time. It only lights up when I change settings or when there's an error. However, a gas engineer who visited my home claimed that something was incorrectly connected because the display should stay on constantly.
From my understanding, the screen on Ideal Logic boilers normally turns off after a short period of inactivity, unless:
There is an active error code being displayed.
The boiler is in a specific mode, such as pressure testing.
You are interacting with the settings.
Everything seems to be working fine, and the heating/hot water functions as expected. So, is the screen turning off actually normal behavior for this model? Or could there really be a wiring issue as the engineer suggested?
