Ideal Logic+ combi

Hello all

I know a lot of people have asked about this boiler but I can not find what I wanted to find out.

My mother has a new ideal Logic+ combi and it won't fire up for the heating unless you run a lot of hot water first.
it says fan post purge or overrun.

We've turned it up full and left it but still won't start. If you run a good bucket of water off first then it'll work but surely this can't be right can it?
it's all set up right, the pressure is correct, the timer is right just won't fire heating up.

Any ideas please?

It has a pump over run and pre purge. Run heating for 5 mins or 300 seconds if your in a hurry. The boiler will display central heating. If not what appears on screen?

Have you contacted the installer?
The heating should kick in as soon as there is a demand. It can't do heating and hot water at the same time.
