Certainly scary just how much I still don't know, just goes to show on site experience and hearing from others is the biggest learning tool! Can read every manual and book under the sun but although helpful hearing first hand from experienced engineers is a lot better IMONo question is silly, better to ask, feel stupid and be safe or save yourself heart ache!

Good tip hahaCustomers don't understand everything you do but what they do understand is the sound of a vac and the smell of wd40
every service I do once the case is on I spray it with wd40 and wipe down just to leave the smell in the air
Ok.
Power off
Undo 15mm nut on fan
Pull leads off fan
Undo securing stud on fan
Lift fan out.
Undo two ph2 screws on flap on silencer, lift silencer up and then out at bottom. It's a tight fit. Put two screws and flap back on TIGHT!
Undo two front and two rear 8mm nuts. Lift hex lid on to side, slide out lhs of boiler.
Rinse 3 pints of water through hex
Clean sump.
Check electrodes and burner head and gasket.
Re assemble
