Ideal logic primary heat exchanger leak sealant success?

A mate tells me he cured a heat engine leak on this boiler (confirmed by boiler isolation & dripping condensate drain) by adding K-Seal car type sealant, and It's still ok after 5 years. Has anyone else had success curing these leaks with sealant additives?

I have seen it seal a friends Fiesta head gasket leak, much to my surprise, he used K seal Ultimate which was more expensive than the regular.
However, I don't think you will get many on here suggesting you try it, I certainly wouldn't recommend it as you don't really know what it's going to seal.

My Dad told me that “back in the day” which was mid 60’s they used to crack an egg into the leaking rad, maybe that’ll work on a logic+ 😂

I understand your concern, but I have also used Radweld or whatever in the past to successfully cure a leaking head gasket, and there were no clog-ups or bad side effects. The water ways through a modern car radiator and heater core are pretty damn small, so is the heater control valve etc. These don't get clogged. Is there a reason why combis would be different?

If the main heat exchanger is shot, what have you got to loose trying it? If anything is gonna get clogged it will be the plate2plate surly.

Isn’t it astonishing how Ideal managed to drop another major clanger twice in a row! Loving the Baxi 600s me...good luck dude

Thanks for your encouraging words. I am still hoping to get a reply from folks who have actually tried using a sealant additive and hear whether it worked or not, rather than "it'll seal/clog it up" because that's the 'wisdom' dating back to the year dot. Anyone?
I see that in the thread linked in post #7 sealant was not used, and the leak was in a run of 22mil anyway.
