Ideal Standard Dual flush cistern

My toilet is an ideal standard dual flush, the problem is when we flush the water filling the Custer takes about 4 times as long as normal.

Toilet & cistern fitted 3 years ago and all been fine.

I have new buttons for flush coming as they are cracked. They are not sticking down, they return to normal position.

Any advice what it could be?

if it takes a long time to fill its the float valve washer i would just put another float valve in

Blockage or crud stuck in button bit or inside.

The float valve is that something a non-plumber could do easily?

maybe but doubt it get a torbeck they will do them there if you feel confident go for it but make sure you put anew tap connector washer on as well use a sponge or something to soak all tje water up from the cistern first, do i need to say turn off the water first though lol🙂

Looked on Ideal Standard site so I could see what I need and they dont list a float valve, they just have inlet or outlet valve

Which one is the one you say need replaced, I'm taking a guess at the inlet?

yes you're correct it is the inlet valve you need

To tap connector or it will leak!
