Ideal standard flusher

Anyone had any experience with this ideal standard toilet flusher? It presses down and flushes ok with the lid off. But when pushed down with the lid on via the buttons is stiff and and occasionally needs a double press to get going. The buttons move freely and the threaded sections are the correct length (any further and the toilet constantly flushes).Thanks

Check if there’s a flush volume slider.

That seems to be a dual flush valve with some bits missing. It's a dual flush button!

The button in the lid is surely rotated 90 degrees from the direction it should be fitted? Ie one button above the other.

Sorry I have no experience of this particular valve!

Sorry I don't have a picture of that. It's a massive round plate for the large flush. Small button for small flush.

I mean I'm wrong, as there are concentric actuators.
I didn't understand how side-by-side buttons could operate two side-by-side levers, when the latter were at right angles to the former, but now I do! Sorry - I did say I wasn't familiar with this valve 🤐

But your flush valve, which appears to be a dual flush design, still seems to be missing a black lever compared photo's?

I was just comparing yours with photo's on the internet (Eg as my post #3). Another photo below (Click on the thumbnail pic to see a clearer version)
There's another black lever shown by the side of the one you have!
Maybe yours is not a dual flush valve?

Thanks if it is the valve that's at fault it should twist out and swap

One button just presses on the centre, the big plate presses on the black springy lever on the side.
Is it all adjusted correctly?
I had a similar occurrence and in my case it was where the ratchet bars fitted into buttons - the little retaining lug had snapped off. This was resolved with a new button and the existing valve then worked fine.

The big plate should push on to the black lever?

I think the big plunger maybe on the wrong side. It is ment to mainly hit the black clip not the push button?
