hi folks i hope someone can help with my problem. it seems that somewhere there is a misconnection in that the water side of the controller works the heating and the heating side works the water. have been right through the wiring and all looks to be correct, even used a honeywell wiring centre to make sure.😕😕😕

Only other possibility I could think is that the wires are crossed at the wiring centre/diverter. I'd be putting it on H/W only and making sure the R/Stat hasn't got a L to it. Should only be L to Cyl stat yeh? I've known the diverters to stick in C/H only until the power's interupted...

Why not swap the lives at the programmer and see if it reverts to the way it should be? Just a thought ...

well i went back today. checked right through the wiring all seems to as it should. with water on, the three way goes to water and vice versa with heating on. just thought could the valve be round the wrong way? i.e. a to hot water b to heating. what do you think.

Hi Steveb .. For some reason 'B' for bath, hot water, comes to mind?? I've got a honywell divertr somewhere, I'll dig it out and let you know. It is a honywell diverter yeh? Someone'll beat me to it anyways most likely.... 🙂

Danfoss is the same as the honywell I'm sure steveb ... 'B' H/Water ... no Idea why I went to look at the diverter valve as it's piped up to nowt!!! LOL
Can the actuator on them be put on the wrong way around? They have printed on them Port B H/W Port A Heating ... I have one in my hand as I speak SD 2701 ....

If you have wired it right Steve, when on for HW only and the cyl stat is calling for heat the only live wire on the valve will be the orange.
If calling for CH only then the white, grey and orange will be live.
If it is doing that then the valve needs swapped around.

Well i went back up today and had a really good look at the valve. customer has admitted that her husband fitted the valve! Wrong way round of course. turned it round and everything works perfectly. lesson learned for them lol and a lighter wallet for him.

Why don't they tell you these things in the first place. Some customers I've had swear blind they haven't touched anything only to confess at a later and costly time later!!!!

Glad you got to the bottom of it Steve.

cheers mate. yes his wife made him tell me what he had done. i think he had a telling to before i had got there lol.

its easily done a to heating b to dhw (i think)

if i had checked it out at the beginning or asked if anything had been changed it would have saved my time and his wallet. but hey ho drinking money for the weekend lol.
