Does anyone know where I can get an electronic copy of these without having to pay an extortionate cost? I know the Gas Safe site has a subscription service which has it but it's still expensive. I'm amazed they charge so much for such documents.

Pages on site are preview only, try the PDF download.

IGE/UP/1B download is complete document.

Considering what you get for the standards subscription on the Gas Safe site I think it's incredible value for money.

whats it worth to you

Haha, what do you want?

I did, 1B is complete but 1 and 1A aren't they are previews available on the IGE site.

It definitely is and I'm going to try to convince my company to sign up to it if they havent already (they're a big company and it's quite hard to find out who relevant people who deal with things are) but in the mean time I could do with having a copy for reference.

HEEELLLP!

I've read the thread followed the links searched the web and only found a site I didn't particularly trust. I don't have access to gas safes list of stuffs so, anyone got or know where I can get a copy of ige/up/1
Ie on a free download

For something we are supposed to work to reference and follow to the letter £127 is ridiculous. If it was £35 then fair enough and I'm sure more people would buy it thus improving standards and not effecting revenue stream

Not when you're paye it isnt

Wouldn't be too sure about that. When I was PAYE but had to buy our own tools, we got a tax rebate by sending the receipts off. Also could claim for laundry costs for washing uniforms etc. You could justifiably claim this as a legitimate requirement...

Or you could PM me your email address... 😛

Gasmanrob if you are PAYE your employer should be supplying you with the paperwork to do your job, so surely they have all the BS & IGEM docs?

Yes correct. And I will be granted access to such documents as and when I need them. Id just like to read and understand things and quote legislation from memory. Besides it never hurts to be ahead of the office bods. I'm the only one at the company with tpcp1 so they only have up/ 1a at the minute
