quick question on a landlords safety cert the ilfe fire has to be removed and a flue flow test with a smoke bomb has to be done this is my understanding even if the servicing requirments say just do a spillage test and make no mention of it (im not servicing it just usuing the mi,s)
who use to write asking the stupid question you want to

You do have to check the catchment space for debris billybob... so removal is required I'd say 🙂

Wouldn't you want to remove it for peice of mind.

You find so much stuff behind these. I've on many first visit to new customers found lots of old twigs and debris. To the point you can fill a bucket

if your signing the form to say its safe, surely that has to include the flue flow test.
the spillage test only tells you there is a draw on the flue, but it could be emptying into the bedrooms

got my old corgi book out it has section on landlord certs and it says fire out i show this to me landlords when they say well the other engineer never used to.

ant
