In the doghouse!!

I'm in the doghouse with her indoors big time at the minute! Oooopsy!

I've booked work in for this Friday & following Monday not realising that it was a bank holiday or Easter weekend! It's not usually a problem but my missus was particularly looking forward to an extended weekend together with me about & the kids! Our youngest is 5 weeks old & she feels I haven't had much chance to bond with him!

To make matters worse I have booked in 3 days working away for a customer down in Devon for Wednesday, Thursday, Friday next week!

So I've now got to think of something that we can all do this weekend that will make up for me working so much!

Suggestions welcome!

There is nothing you can do except gently remind her of or advise her that in this business there will be many days when she wishes you were over booked.

Now you could come up with the explanation that the new extra comfortable child buggy is about the same price as the pay you are getting for the extra hours.

Good point! Think her main grievance is like I say that I've been so busy & she worries I am working too hard & the break would have done me good!

Working Fri, Sat am and Mon. Playing catch up from my hols and the weather is playing havoc 🙂

Im working too. Site work important doing stops Thursday and starts Tuesday so that's two four day weeks. I start a bathroom on Friday and work until its finished. Probably Friday Saturday and little bits on Monday.

Sunday is reserved for........

Horrible. I literally just walked through the door with enough time to have a 2 minute cuddle and say goodnight. Gutted.

Days like today, I just wanna get home, eat and go straight to bed, as they're not worth seeing through to the end.

I don't often give sensible advice. But here it is. Always make time for family. Work will be there tomorrow but if you don't pay attention to the people that really matter one day it could be to late to fix it. Find the time, make the time and enjoy the time.

I've been offered work Friday and Monday, I was tempted as I didn't realise I had it off to start with, but I've refused it at the moment.

Ive worked 6 days a week since January, so I'm having a rest. I've been saving like mad for my house and two days off earning nothing won't hurt 🙂
