Good morning

I was wondering if anyone has ever installed a bath by putting the bath feet up on bricks to accommodate the trap etc. I've seen people do this on a timber floor and solid floor but my question is how does the bath not skid or buckle off the bricks as the feet aren't drilled/screwed into the bricks? Obviously there is silicone sealant around the bath edges but wouldn't have thought this would be strong to hold the customer and the bath water's movement?

Just have visions of the bath tipping over so looking for someone to tell me how this works!! :dunce2:

Thanks a lot

Martyn

I wouldn't, I'd use timber screwed to the floor then the bath feet screwed to the timber.

As above, bricks can break and will not offer the same support. get yourself some 3 x 2 etc, cheap as chips.

Get some extra timber and use it to support all corners of the bath also. Only takes a few mins to do but takes out lots of movement as most baths do not come with adequate support brackets imho.
