Hi Friends

I posted about hard to remove speedfit connections last week.

I thought about it for a while 😉 an dthen email the company.

A nice chap called me about a removal tool, he said places dont really stock them.

Anyway, he is sending me 15 & 22mm removal tools.

I'll let you know when they arrive and how they work

Why would you need a tool?
You unscrew the fitting, hold the end of fitting to pipe then pull.
If the insert stays in fitting then strip the fitting to get insert back. Takes all of 10secs max!

Not with the ones I dealt with!!!!

it can't hurt to try to use the tool.

Sometimes especially where hot water pipes are concerned, the collet can stick and it can be difficult to remove the fitting. Rare but it happens.

The fitting in the picture on the original thread isn't a speedfit, it is a HEP non-demountable fitting, that is what the HEP denotes. I think you will be disappointed with the tools you have bought.
