Would be interested in comments on how people are joining MLCP to copper. Using MLCP underfloor, roof-spaces and embedded in walls and copper where it can be seen.

Normally join using a press connection with female thread (swivel nut) (16mm to 1/2", 20mm to 3/4") and then solder a male head (243 GCu) on to copper and bring pipes out of the floor/ceiling/wall.

Same with rad connections: 16mm to 1/2" or 20mm to 3/4", 90 elbow copper out of wall, 90 elbow up to rad valve. A few times I have used a 90 compress elbow to come out in MCLP and bent it up to rad but part of the bend had to be in the wall to make the 8cm radius for 16mm. Painted the tube didnt look too bad..

Lots of pressure on costs and copper is expensive.. then again, so are the compression joints..

Any cool ideas to cut costs?
