Is anyone familiar with anterior knee pain(patello-femoral pain)?
I am doing the plumbing and gas courses with OLCI, but I have been told by my GP I have ant knee pain.
Will it be possible for me to become a plumber and gas engineer despite the knee pain?

in this game it involves alot of kneeling/crawling/ i suppose it all depends on what you feel like and the implications of what could happen in later life.

sounds like its likely going to make an already difficult choice of job even more difficult,
as you need to be regularly on your knees and crawling in awkward spaces.
Hope its not to serious

I don't have trouble with my knees yet, but spend a lot of time kneeling, so by the end of the day can be a bit stiff. I'm sure it will catch up with me when I get older, even using knee pads whenever possible.

If I ahad a pre existing condition then I would definatly thingk twice, what is your health worth.

Thanks guys.
The thing is I started the plumbing course a year and a half ago.
And I don't want to stop but like you said the job is demanding physically.
I have an appointment with a physiotherapist on monday, I will see from there.

Later on in the plumbers career, your back will go, hips, knees

Also wont be able to crawl due to the al mighty beer gut 😛

Plus you'll be kneeling in damp conditions. Every time you cut into a pipe, expect to get wet.

Best of luck to you. Best to seek professional advice from a specialist doctor.
