I

Ignorant

I have a mixer tap on my bath but since I've had a combi boiler installed the taps can't handle the water pressure. My plumber replaced one of the taps while he was installing the central heating but the hot tap has only failed subsequently. The problem is the screw holding the tap in place was damaged so I couldn't take a screwdriver to it. I've drilled out the top of screw but I'm still unable to pull the tap off. The other tap comes off easily enough. Once the screw is out it should just be the brass spline? that is holding the tap in place.
What can I try to remove this jammed tap?
Attached pictures of the tap that does come off to show the components I'm referring to. 14561667655101720623467.jpg1456166870542-1119232314.jpg1456166982520-473296890.jpg

how did you remove the cartridge with the cover stuck on?

why not just replace with new tap reviver kit, or fit new taps?

or use leverage to seperate.

Use some spray oil on the top of the spindle and try pulling the head just to the side at first. Leave it then as long as you can, - preferably for a day if it still refuses to budge, before attempting it again.
