Think your giving me the bug but I can see the missus falling off her laboutins if I spent £340 on a bike. I will have to settle for a cheaper option.

Go into local independent bike shop and ask for the cheapest road bike they can get their hands on. Older style gears will be cheaper and not hard to get used to.
That's what I did a few years ago. Think I spent 200 euro (I was living in Ireland at the time)
Have a much better bike now but any racer is better than a mountain bike on the road
You can pick up a really good second hand bike for about 200 on ebay

Just seen a new one on fleabay for £162 with free delivery . Now I know you get what you pay for, same as this game but do you think it would suffice. I need to loose s couple of stone and I hate gyms, cross trainers but do get out when I can in the m/ bike with the kids. I think this being a bit faster would give me impetus ?
