I changed my hot water cylinder as it had a split coil. the pipework was only minorly changed when it was fitted. the only problem after changing it has been that the hot water to my bath is now very slow running and can't be turned on with the cold water as the cold water over powers it and turns the water cold. my water cylinder is in a bedroom upstairs and my bathroom is downstairs so previously hot water flow was very good

Hi mik 118811 and welcome tend to agree with Pauls suggestion of an air lock normally cleared by driving mains pressure back up hot pipework can be done in a number of ways one of the easiest if you have a mixer tap at the kitchen sink open up hot tap and slowly open cold whilst holding your hand over spout may help to cover with tea towel to stop you getting wet. If no luck look on the search facility and type in clearing air locks for further suggestions good luck🙂regards turnpin

somtimes if its a stubborn air lock if you have a hot and cold feed on washing machine valves connect the hose upto both connections turn on cold then hot and blast it out that way
