Had to go and pick up some gear this afternoon and the wife wanted some new wiper blades, so I took her car. Not going particularly fast I came round a sharp corner that has the camber all wrong, van in front and I was looking past it to overtake. I then got a feeling that I wasn't going in the right direction. I'd hit the accelerator just before straightening the wheel and the road was damp. Next thing the car is up the kerb on the inside and grass tracking towards the fence, hedge and road sign. I think it was the long grass that slowed it down enough to slide it back on the road.
I think though that the luckiest thing about it was that once I'd pulled the nettles and grass out the front grille there wasn't a mark on the car. She would have killed me.
