Hi, I have just noticed that the hot and cold pipes (and the gas) run to close to each other as shown in the attached photos.
This the 1st floor joists.
Blue: mains cold to boiler and kitchen downstairs
Red: hot from boiler to 1st floor bathroom
Yellow: gas to boiler
The rest are central heating pipes that do run across above pipes at the radiator ends on the right.
That run is 3m and then down to the combi boiler and the kitchen below.
I have learnt that cold and hot shouldn’t run too close to each other and they should be kept as far as possible, but is this far okay? As it can be seen in the photos they are only separated by that fiver glass wool type material at the joists and tiny gap between them.
In my opinion it shouldn’t be that bad as it’s only a 2 bed small house bad the hot will not be used so often but I would like to double check and if it is an issue, to rectify while the house is getting renovated.
I would appreciate your help on this
