HI all
Having a spot of bother with a boiler and cant get the MIs even with the GC number. I dont know if its me but the layout of the boiler looks different on the paperwork thn it does in the boiler. The fan is to the left of the burner but in the MIs its on top. GC nuber is 47-406-56 Greenstar 281 Junior. Apparantly worcester had some made in Turkey as they were so busy. Boiler initially was tripping all the electric in the kitchen when switched on at the spur traced this to a faulty pump so changed this. All ok when switched on at the spur but fan did not run, 230 v at fan advised by Worcester to change fan so did. this did not solve the issue and i was then told that the initial shorting of the pump may have damaged the pcb which in turn had wrecked the new fan. Current situation is
Switch on boiler and fan runs at low speed. (with no call for heat or dhw)
Call for wter fan speed picks up and boiler trips.
I have checked the overheat stat (ntc) and there is continuity and zero resistance so i figure it needs changing. Would this impact on the firing sequence in the way described above or is there a way to check the pcb.
Thanks
Eddie
