Modena 32c HE knocking in hot water mode

I have just commissioned a Ferolli Modena 32c HE today , and all seems well but in hot water mode it knocks.


I have bled all the taps and even have a outlet at the systems hot water system to bleed yet it still knocks.
Has anyone come across this problem before please.

No it's a ferolli and intergas model all their boilers on this age old tech just like a Vokera vision!

although the modena is a re hash of the ferroli falcon more than anything.



Is it installed to a central heating system or just the hot?

hi hi it's installed on heating as well and running fine

Modena has no plate to plate it goes through main HE ?

Yes the main heat exchanger is still called a hex . A plate is abbreviated to a Phex.

The main heat exchanger above the flames is full of air and your boiling it's **** off as the air is trapped at hight point.

Turn off DCW drain DHW. Open all hot taps and then turn on DCW slowly
