Hi guys

A bloke at work was telling me about a mortar rake drill bit which sounds excellent for taking bricks out but I cant find one for sale.

Can anyone help?

Thanks

I've got one of these

Armeg SDS Plus TCT Brick Remover | SDS Plus Chisels | NoLinkingToThis

but find stitch drilling just as quick.

i also bought one of these

Bosch Brick Sabre Saw Blade 305mm | Various Material Saw Blades | NoLinkingToThis

and bent it first time I used it.

Just as quick to drill the mortar out around brick( s) with a 6mm sds

That's what I usually do. Someone recommended getting one of these. Might get one if I get a job where a lot of bricks need taking out, seems pricey for what it is.

Bricks are about 100mm deep that item of scrap won't go all the way through. Hilti do a flat one about 300mm long and that's borderline rubbish! It's a mortar rake...... For raking out 20 to 49mm for lead work and repointing. Use a grinder as it's much easier
