Most efficient way to heat water in tank using ideal logic boiler?

Hi guys

I have a water tank as pictured in my profile with an ideal logic system boiler, during summer/spring we make use of our thermal solar for heating and other times of the year the boiler, we don’t have the heating on overnight and usually gets switched on after 9am. Currently I am heating the water for 30 mins at 7am, by 2pm it starts getting colder so another 30 mins then and another 30 mins around 6pm. I don’t I get it to reach 60 degrees at any time but warm enough for washing/showering.

is this the most efficient way or is there a better more efficient etc way?

thanks

IF you showered or bathed in 60 degree water you'd scold yourself so the only reason for heating it to that temp is to kill legionella quite quickly which (and others will disagree) is unlikely in a domestic cylinder with high turnover and a lack of stagnancy.

The most efficient way to heat a cylinder is with the lowest flow temperature possible so if there are no vulnerable persons in the household you could turn the cylinder temp down...

If you want lower hot water temperatures and still be safe from legionella esi make a cylinder thermostat that automatically increases temperature above 60C for 1 hr a week.
