Moving from US Plumbing to UK Plumbing

I have been working in the plumbing (and vaguely heating) industry in the US for the past 3 years. I am now in the market of learning more about plumbing and heating in the UK. I have so far discovered that there are a number of overlapping points, but there are enough differences that I have a ways to go.

Hi... I worked as a plumber in the US for many years.. I found it very difficult to adjust... terminolgy being the biggest barrier at first, It took quite a time to figure the american way.Are you an American moving here, or a Brit coming back ?? .....Welcome

Thanks all! I'm an American still working in the US at present, but preparing for the change. It's uncertain if I will physically relocate, but I am working in the industry remotely for the time being.

i think that gas pressures are different in the US than over here, with over here being low pressure 20mb for boilers etc
