If moving a boiler installed before 2005 so not registered about a meter in the same room does it have to be registered ?

I phoned gas safe about this last year as had to move a boiler all of about 500mm for a customer .
They said any boiler that was reinstalled in a different location requires to be re registered ! There words not mine

Think if its in same room then no, But Boiler is 10 years + why not just fit new boiler while room is being re-done.

Of course they would say that!!, it's all about the £££'s

as above boiler is nearly ready for the scrap heap in the sky new boiler time

I asked buildings control about this a few years back, the man was happy that a short move in the same room was fine not to report, new room treat as new install. So you wouldnt be allowed to move a non condenser around the house now 🙂
