Hi All

In feb 2010 I started my training to become a plumber before retraining, I was an unpredictable individual who wanted to work in IT, I had studied all the Microsoft courses, Cisco courses and a couple of Comptia courses.

My hopes were to train as an IT professional and then get a job in that field but my inconsistencies were that I kept getting temporary contracts through recruitment agencies that only offered me Admin roles.

For the last few years I have been working in various admin roles with no scope to further my career, I enjoyed temping but whats bugging me is that I can keep temping if I want to but the disadvantage is that I am not always offered one job after the next sometimes I am unemployed between 3 to 6 months+ and with no consistent income I am always finding that I am having more bad times than good, because I am not always in a job.

After wanting to enquire about plumbing or electrician courses, I searched through google for training providers, a few days later I had a call from T4TS who booked me in to see a sales rep, the sales rep came to my house and spoke to me about joining T4TS to study a plumbing course, the sales rep really drilled home the message that unless people work hard to achieve their goals they wont get anywhere.

Since joining on to the plumbing course I have completed Part A and have started Part B the scenarios that are required to complete the assignments in Part B are tough to begin with but after several attempts you realise how easy the scenarios are I do get annoyed because when starting the scenario because I dont have the knowledge on repairs to begin with I dont know where to start so I start by inspecting everything to see where I find the problem and then try resolving the problem sometimes its easier to know what needs to be done in the form of a checklist but I suppose if I fix someones leak when I qualify they wont really be handing me checklist the will just tell me what the task is and expect me to repair the issue. These scenarios are easy for someone who knows there way around and can solve problems for a beginner these scenarios should not be used. Because a beginner doesnt really know their way around to solve a problem a beginner needs to be shown how things are done so that they have that knowledge when a similar thing happens. They know what needs to be done to fix the issue.

I look forward to chatting with people on here when help is needed.

Kams.
