you could build a small false floor just high enough to slide the plastic drill and other boxes under freeing up space above false floor and get rid of that level, causes nothing but problems if the customer gets hold of that 😱

Since side doors came out and having vans with them,do not think I could just work out a rear entrance only van anymore 🙁

always put tools just inside side door so can get to easy ,even in tight parking spaces 🙂

tbh i should have bought a bigger van this things to small had it for a few years but the kit i carry is increasing good idea with the false floor

i have put a another floor in my caddy , but its high enough for drill boxes etc to go under , and other stuff, stuff i use all the time is at the rear door tool bag etc , and the side door gives access to hoover and spares , rest is racked for fittings🙂 gives loads more room and stays tidy.😎

That's how I lay out my office too (rear door main tool box, side door hoover, etc.)

There's a couple of seats in the back of mine (transit) and I'm not sure how the children fit in on the school run but they do somehow without too much grumbling.

did something similar when i had an astra van, built a false floor high enough for a plastic bread basket to go under, put drill boxes, FGA etc under, gives more room, and it is very easy to pull out like a drawer to access wghat is in it and also hopefully deters the smash and grab brigade (hopefully) as they might not have time to fully investigate what is in there

I use a VW caddy, its pretty average tbh.

I reckon i need lots of various size plastic tubs for storage, It's got the shelfing system with drawers. It's a big massive pile of fittings.

Maybe couple of hours re-organising would help, i'm just carrying far too much.

pics to follow.

Whats that clip you got your benders on?

I could do with one of them. i keep mine in the conrer the other way up with a bungee cord holding them to my tile cutter. The amount of times the handle has cracked me on the head!

its a angled wall tie the type builders would use for holding a flat roof down i have modified it to fit they are cheap in builders merchants

they are only 2 months old,the last set i had 14 years past them on to my apprentice why should he have the new ones? he cant use them yet

had a second year apprentice pull a bend for me in 22mm last year.

couldn't believe he managed to pull a bend in 22mm with a 15mm guide! He found hisself walking home. Ain't had him working with me since!

Boy's an idiot. Weren't the first stupid thing he did that week!

nice carpet. good idea the false floor/ drawer, that is was my original plan when I made my racking, can be lockable as well.

Some nice touch`s there in the back of your van henry to hoover the fitted carpet but more importantly jumbo toilet roll and bucket for when you know you really should have gone before removing that old pan😀😀...🙂regards turnpin

the only real way to test your stowages for security is to lend the missus your van for a morning, amazing how you can lose everything in the back of a kangoo after shes wizzed upto tescos for some milk!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
