Unpaid plumbers revenge or clueless builder.

Needs eyes on from somebody who knows what they are doing. If you want to save a few pennies then you could get all the boards up to expose all the pipework.
 
Problem sorted..


Ripped out most of floor boards and found a service valve. Ripped out the valve and found it was clogged with black debris.


replaced the valve and bit of pipe each side and piping hot water was flowing upstairs.

Air lock in the system somewhere perhaps. Please don't start doing too much, being hands on is great but we spend a fortune to learn how to operate safely. £50-£85 an hour is not a lot for peace of mind. Also they could Che know the installation is correct and safe to use. In my experience when an 'installer' is uncatalogued it's because they DON'T want to be contacted.

it has been sorted and it wasn't an airlock if you read post #27
